我认为最重要的是别害怕失败
上个周末费诚老鹰(Philadelphia Eagles)在超级碗赢了新英格兰爱国者队(New England Patriots)。而超级碗是美式橄榄球的最高级比赛。
许多人预料爱国者队会赢。不但因为爱国者队是去年的冠军，而且老鹰的明星球员Carson Wentz 受伤了不能参加超级碗。可是替Wentz参加的球员Nick Foles 打得非常好，他得了MVP。
Foles是特别谦虚。他在比赛后受采访时说，我认为最重要的是别害怕失败。我不是完美的，我也不是超人。在人生中直面困难的时候，就是你人格有机会成长的时候。
我成为了他的粉丝。
I Think the Big Thing Is Don’t Be Afraid to Fail
Last weekend Philadelphia Eagles won New England Patriots at the Super Bowl, which is the highest game in American football.
Many people anticipated that Patriots would win, not only because Patriots are the last year’s champion, but also because Eagles’ star player, Carson Wentz was injured and couldn’t take a part in the Super Bowl. However, Nick Foles, the player took a part of Wentz, showed great play, and got MVP.
Foles is quite humble. At the interview after the game, he said, “I think the big thing is don’t be afraid to fail. I’m not perfect. I’m not Superman. I think when you look at a struggle in your life, just know that it’s an opportunity for your character to grow.”
I became his fan.
失敗を恐れないことが大切だと思っている
先週末、スーパーボウルで、フィラデルフィア・イーグルスはニューイングランド・ペイトリオッツを破った。スーパーボウルはアメリカンフットボールの頂点の試合である。
多くの人はペイトリオッツが勝つと予想していた。ペイトリオッツは去年のチャンピオンで、さらにイーグルスのスタープレーヤーのカーソン・ウェンツが怪我をしてスーパーボウルに出場できなかったから。しかし、ウェンツの代わりに出場したニック・フォールズは素晴らしいプレーをし、MVPを獲得した。
フォールズはとても謙虚だった。試合後のインタビューで次のように語っている。「失敗を恐れないことが大切だと思っている。私は完璧でもないし、スーパーマンでもない。人生のなかで困難なことに目を向けた時、自分の人格を成長させるチャンスなんだと気がつくはずだ。」
彼のファンになった。
